Intimacy
through art

“The Intimacy Project” is an honest exploration of body image, interpersonal relationships and self-awareness closely connected to the artist’s journey into intimacy.

Kate’s work range from everyday life of being a woman and the seemingly endless struggle with identification, worth and self-love. More specifically, it often shows female bodies with soft, fluid silhouettes that blend into smooth colour compositions, sometimes not precisely revealing gender or other characteristics.

With influences as diverse as Ralph Gibson and Helen Beard, the female body is positioned as an aesthetic object for appreciation and invitation to dive into a journey of emotions and individual feelings of intimacy and sensuality in a subtle or provokative way. The process itself is about exploring emotions visualised as abstract shapes and lines to a final artwork.
